New trustees wanted!

We are a small charity providing free informal English classes and access to services for adults who have English as an Additional Language. We offer isolated individuals a chance to make friends, gain confidence, find jobs, access volunteering opportunities and integrate into the local community.

We are looking for two new trustees who are interested in helping isolated individuals to integrate and develop their skills. We are interested in people who would like to:

  • Promote our charity
  • Help with fundraising
  • Bring new ideas for the marketing of our services
  • Assist with use of website and social media
  • Ensure the charity is well governed

But the most important quality is a genuine interest in promoting the integration of individuals who have not yet managed to access more formal English classes, volunteering or employment opportunities.

Our success is measured by

Numbers of learners who have accessed accredited courses, employment or volunteering. The majority of the learners achieve one or more of these.

Attendance by people from diverse backgrounds (currently speakers of 63 different languages!)

Friendships created – learners build long-lasting friendships with each other and their families.

Feedback from learners who say they feel happier, more confident and hopeful for the future than they did before joining our groups.

If you are interested, or would just like to hear more, please contact us at  We look forward to hearing from you.
